Although Windows 11 has not yet reached a large part of the computer equipment around the world, there are many users who use the Microsoft operating system on a daily basis for work, leisure or entertainment. On this occasion, we are not here to talk to you about how to see hidden folders in Windows 11 or what is the method to disable Cortana in Windows 11, but we want to offer you the first keys to the future of this operating system.
This is the big Windows 11 update that is coming soon
Microsoft fans are in luck. Thanks to one of the latest posts on the Windows blog, we have learned more details about the 24H2 update, reference number 26100.712. This version has moved to the Release Preview testing channel, which means that the update is almost finished and all that remains is to check for possible software bugs.
Although Microsoft usually rolls out updates throughout the year, the so-called 24H2 is one of the most anticipated, as it includes both new features in the internal functioning of the operating system, which are most appreciated by developers and computer experts, as well as features that will help Windows 11 users unleash their full potential.
Among the most interesting things that will be integrated under the outermost layer of the operating system, we will find an updated compiler, kernel and scheduler, especially to provide better support for Arm-based computers. This could translate into said computers seeing their performance increase between 10% and 20% when using certain applications.
For users, Windows 11 24H2 will include the Sudo tool for Windows, which allows you to run commands with administrator privileges without having to log in as an administrator, or the ability to create files with TAR and 7-zip extensions, directly from File Explorer. In addition, there will be support for WiFi 7, a new power saving system and improved support for Bluetooth LE audio.
Unfortunately, other new features in this update are tied to the arrival of the so-called Copilot+ PC, which will be computers equipped with hardware specifications suitable for the next generation of artificial intelligence, where functions such as Recall or Live Captions will be included. We are convinced that Windows 11 still has a long way to go and updates like this will be part of the experience offered by Microsoft.
